ABOUT ME |
Introduction
Hello! My name is Reno Del Toro, and I am graduate of the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University. I graduated with a degree in Sports Journalism in 2021 with a minor in communication.
During my tenure at Arizona State, I was the head of the NHL, NFL, NCAA Football and NASCAR section for The Fan Weekly, a local student led publication. My most recent job was being a contributing photographer for Dave Campbell's Texas Football and being head writer and podcaster for Territorial-Cup.com, covering any Arizona State sporting event and topics during the 2020-2021 season. My time at ASU provided me multiple different opportunities that have helped me further my career as a sports writer/photographer. I worked in the Cronkite News Phoenix Sports Bureau as a digital photographer. During my time with the bureau, I got to contribute to Spring Training coverage while taking photos at various events such as the annual NASCAR race in Avondale, a presidential visit to Phoenix and local high school sports. Some skills that I bring to table is great communication, an excellent team leader while having the ability to manage and delegate to others and take on responsibility. Confidence in an any workplace not only in the workplace, but in my colleagues and company. Finally, the most important skill to have is to have perseverance and motivation with a positive energy. When it comes to qualities, I am available for flexibility, eager and willing to add to my knowledge base and skills and I have the ability to work in harmony with co-workers. Outside of school, I am a native of El Paso, Texas who grew up playing and watching sports from a very young age. Finding an opportunity that allows me to express my passion for the sport and writing as a whole in a meaningful and engaging way. Feel free to take a look at my work and everything else on this site, and don't hesitate to contact me. Thank you! |
